Bilingual SEO for Boquete Bees and Butterflies

How I built a bilingual SEO content system for a honey and coffee farm with a butterfly house, in just a month.

The business

Boquete Bees and Butterflies is a honey and coffee farm with a butterfly house and cabins in Boquete, Panama. Its visitors search in two languages: international travelers in English, and people from the region in Spanish. That split is what English & Spanish SEO is built for.

What I did

  • I went to the farm first. I recorded the kickoff meeting, took the tour, and interviewed one of the guides, so I understood what they do before writing about it.
  • I measured demand in Google Trends, topic by topic, so each piece answers something people actually search for.
  • I wrote 34 articles: 17 topics in English and Spanish, each version written on its own.
  • I traced every claim to a source. For the honey articles that meant the National Honey Board, the European Commission’s work on honey fraud, and a Panamanian study on adulteration. When two sources disagreed, we settled it with the owner before delivery.
  • I left the system in place: voice guide, style rules, SEO checklist, and fact-checking process, so whoever writes next keeps the same voice.

What was delivered

  • 34 articles in English and Spanish, ready to publish
  • Brand voice guide and style rules
  • Per-article SEO checklist
  • Build notes inside each document

The articles are with the farm, ready to go live. Once they've been online for a few months, this case will add rankings and traffic.

What the owner said

He created 34 well-researched articles in English and Spanish, developed a style guide, improved the accuracy of our information, and helped with audiovisual content. He communicated clearly and made a valuable, lasting contribution. We highly recommend him, especially for writing, research, content strategy, and SEO.
